"I want to use that material which is best suited to transport my intentions,"
explains Ann Wolff. Parallel to her drawings and bronzes, she finds her way, time and again, to glass – a medium as sensuous as it is multilayered – to express her artistic ideas. Glass stands out among substances in its combination of transparency, interaction of form, material and light, and fragility united with strength. Glass offers a platform for broad reflection about positive and negative form, technique and materiality. It reveals contents, limits, and opens spaces – for seeing as well as for thinking. Marking the edge between interior and exterior, glass wants to be constantly re-experienced and rediscovered.
